The People's Bus Service is SMTA's city bus network, serving major residential, commercial, and industrial areas across Karachi. Its routes are planned to improve everyday mobility, reduce reliance on private vehicles, ease traffic congestion, and give commuters a safe and affordable way to move around the city. Together, these services form an important part of SMTA's wider public transport strategy for Karachi.

A World Bank funded Bus Rapid Transit corridor designed to connect Karachi's densely populated eastern and central districts with high-capacity, reliable transit.

The Yellow Line BRT is being developed with financing support from the World Bank to provide a dedicated, high-capacity transit corridor linking major residential and commercial areas of Karachi. The project is a core part of SMTA's mass transit network, intended to reduce reliance on private vehicles, ease traffic congestion, and provide commuters with a fast, safe, and affordable alternative for daily travel.

An eco-focused Bus Rapid Transit corridor using hybrid and low-emission buses to reduce congestion and improve air quality along a major Karachi thoroughfare.

The Green Line BRT connects key northern and central areas of Karachi via a dedicated corridor, operating a fleet that emphasizes hybrid and low-emission technology. The project reflects SMTA's commitment to sustainable transport solutions, aiming to reduce vehicular emissions and traffic congestion while offering commuters a reliable, modern transit option along one of the city's busiest routes.

A major Bus Rapid Transit corridor financed by the Asian Development Bank, AIIB, and the Green Climate Fund, operated by TransKarachi along National Highway.

The Red Line BRT is one of Karachi's largest mass transit investments, jointly financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). Operated by TransKarachi, the corridor runs along National Highway, linking Malir and the city center with a fleet of electric buses. The project is central to SMTA's strategy of promoting sustainable, low-carbon transport while significantly expanding public transit capacity in Karachi.

Orange Line

Orange Line

A planned mass transit corridor extending SMTA's network to connect underserved areas of Karachi with the wider Bus Rapid Transit system.

The Orange Line is a planned addition to SMTA's expanding mass transit network, designed to extend coverage to areas of Karachi currently underserved by high-capacity public transport. Once developed, the corridor will integrate with the existing BRT lines to provide a more connected, city-wide transit system, furthering SMTA's mandate to enhance mobility and reduce traffic congestion for all citizens.
